In its milestone 25th year, Tripadvisor named London as the world’s favored locale for 2025 in their highly esteemed Travellers’ Choice Awards.
This year’s selection of “Best of the Best Destinations” encompassed seven distinct categories, including trending spots, cultural experiences, culinary delights, honeymoon locations, solo travel options, and an exclusive section commemorating the anniversary.
Losing its title to London, Dubai was celebrated for its vibrant “culinary landscape and extensive artistic and historical offerings.” The UK capital ranked impressively high—second place globally among culinary destinations and third among cultural sites.
Tripadvisor determined these rankings by evaluating both the volume and quality of user reviews recorded over time. Consequently, London emerged as number one on their special list dedicated to anniversary destinations.
Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, expressed pride in this attainment by calling it “the finest city worldwide for tourism,” following Tripadvisor’s announcement. He remarked: “With our unmatched array of cultural offerings, a celebrated gastronomy scene, and an unparalleled sporting agenda throughout the year—it’s no wonder that Tripadvisor views London as global leader in travel destinations.”
