I had to go out one last time. What better place to go than the first place I originally shot whilst on holiday, in December 2010 after the snow trapped us in London for a week whilst the airports were shut due to flurries. I photographed these Houses of Parliament in that instance as a tourist, years later as a resident during the Scottish referendum that I followed into the wee hours, and even now as I transition away from this city back to Edinburgh – home. I’ll always treasure this place as something special.
Four minute exposure, watching the clouds roll in and the sun depart across the horizon. Minimal processing.
